Check out this one family-owned 1949 Gibson L-7P! This is the first archtop I've had in the shop and I am very excited to offer it up for sale. It still bears the decal on the back of the headstock from when it was sold new at a shop in Greenfield, Massachusetts. At one point, it was fitted with a top-of-the-line Dearmond Rhythm Chief 1100 pickup. A slight cutout and a few holes were put in the pickguard to accommodate the electronics. These electronics are functional, but they do use a special cable, which I do not have. The tuners were replaced in the mid 60's with a set of double line klusons. There were a few gems inlaid in the pickguard, which is one of my favorite things about this guitar. It is super cool and sounds amazing. There was a split down the center of the back, which was repaired. There was some mild separation on the bottom, which has been glued but is still not completely flush. It is very stable. The action is medium, and it plays well. Eventually, the neck will need to be reset as there is some very slight separation, but it is not major, and the guitar plays well as is. An extra strap button was added.
It comes in the original hardshell case. As always feel free to message me with any more questions and thanks for your interest.
