Check out this killer modded 1967 Gibson Melody Maker in factory Pelham Blue finish! It has been heavily modded and could use a little TLC, but it sounds amazing. To start with the obvious, at one point someone routed it for extra pickups and an extra pot. All electronics were replaced. The pickup is a Dimarzio X2N that sounds fantastic. It also had a crack in the control cavity at one point, and a small chunk of wood is missing, but it is very sturdy. The bridge was replaced with a Leo Quan Badass Bridge. The neck angle is a bit shallow, so the action is currently pretty high (Around 0.11 inches on the bass side and 0.10 inches on the treble side). A lower profile bridge could improve this significantly, as the Leo Quan bridge is very chunky, or a neck reset could be an option if you are set on the Leo Quan. Another option would be using it as a slide guitar.
